Oops…I missed my lesson.

School of Music & Dance understands students may miss an occasional lesson due to illness, vacation, etc. No worries, because PSMD offers one-hour master classes every semester in each instrument. Students are invited to attend a master class in their instrument free of charge as a make-up.

Master Class?

A class taught by someone who has an expert knowledge or skill in a particular area, especially in music.

It's Snowing!

In the event PSMD closes due to inclement weather, a "School Closed" notification will be posted on the school's website, Facebook page, and Twitter account by 12:00 noon. Classes canceled due to inclement weather or acts of God will not be rescheduled. Private music lessons will not be rescheduled, but music students may elect to participate in a complimentary one-hour master class.

Private lessons are offered for all popular instruments and voice. We have found that private one-on-one instruction allows students to progress at their own pace and gain the best understanding of musical techniques. Students can start private lessons any time of the year or month so there’s no need to wait to get started. A variety of styles are taught such as pop, jazz, rock and classical. Contact the music school office in Charlotte or Kannapolis to see which times and days are available.

Private music lessons offered: piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums, and violin.

Group Guitar Lessons

We believe that private lessons are the best way to learn music, but for the right type of student and the right type of situation group lessons can be a viable alternative.

45 min./wk = $162 per month

Information Regarding Fees

Fees will be taken by automatic withdrawals from Visa / MasterCard on the 1st of each month. When you register you will be required to pay your registration fee and first month’s tuition by Visa/MC. Your registration will not be complete, and therefore your class will not be confirmed, until we have your credit card on file. Declined method of payments include expired credit cards, returned payments and NSF. ALL OF THESE REASONS WILL BE CHARGED AN EXTRA $25.00 DECLINED PAYMENT FEE.
