Piedmont School of Music & Dance Performing Jazz Company provides our students with increased opportunities to perform thereby allowing “performance” to become second nature. Jazz Company members will have the opportunity to not only perform at two regional competitions, but they will also be encouraged to partake in various charitable events and fundraising efforts within the community. Through Jazz Company our dancers attain life skills such as commitment, confidence, community service, time management and the achievement of personal goals. Members of Jazz Company will be seen as Ambassadors for Piedmont School of Music & Dance. Consequently they will be held to the highest standards in all respects and will be required to demonstrate dedication, confidence, teamwork, and a positive and professional attitude at all times. Dancers are expected to adhere to a strict attendance policy for all rehearsals; however each dancer will be allowed to miss one rehearsal with prior approval by the Jazz Company Director. Any further absences, the Jazz Company Director and the PSM&D Directors will discuss the situation and make any necessary decisions. |

What are the fees and what do they include? |
||
PSM&D Jazz Company fees are a flat fee for each dancer depending on their level placement. The fee will be per dancer for one piece. Jazz Co. Fees Include:
JAZZ COMPANY FEES:La Petite/Petite Company = $41.00 per month ($410.00 total) Junior/Senior Company = $47.50 per month ($475.00 total) The Jazz Company Fees do not include tuition for jazz technique and jazz company class. Class fees will be included in your monthly tuition paid to PSM&D. |

Performing Jazz Company Requirements |
||
PSM&D's Performing Jazz Company members are selected by audition/invitation and will consist of four divisions: La Petite (ages 5-7), Petite (ages 8-11), Junior (ages 12-15), and Senior (ages 14 and up.) Ages for each group serve only as a guideline. Performing Jazz Company members are required to attend the following classes: La Petite: One Ballet/Tap or one ballet class per week in addition to their Jazz Company class. Petite: One ballet class and one jazz technique class in addition to their Jazz Company class. Junior: Two ballet classes and one jazz technique in addition to their Jazz Company class. Senior: Three ballet classes, one jazz technique, one hip hop class in addition to their Jazz Company class. |

When are the rehearsal and competition dates posted? |
